Happy Belated New Year!

Well, the year started off much different than those in the past; for myself at least. For the first time ever, I spent my new years eve working; it was a strange experience. I'm not sure if this has anything to do with my very much procrastinated "new years resolution list," or if this is just another year in which I complete only half of my listed "resolutions." Either way, we've made it to 2013 and that in itself is an accomplishment.

Resolutions: a new year, a new you. New beginnings, new experiences, new relationships and a fresh, new start for those who just experienced the worst year of their lives- or perhaps just a fresh new start. Why does one have to wait until the new year to change their outlook/ goals? I just don't get it. Why not simply start NOW. Start with daily goals, or if these are too challenging, begin with weekly and/or monthly goals. Once you've successfully completed one, add another and so on. Waiting for the new year to begin puts a lot of pressure not only on yourself, but your goals as well. Goals are easy to achieve, if you're willing to go to the distance to achieve them. Only the willing can change.

You may have already noticed that blogging is (was) one of my "new years resolutions" and I'm just now starting, nearly two weeks late. I probably seem like a complete hypocrite, I know, but I'm gung-ho to see where this blog takes off. I've been feeling and experiencing so many new, different things since moving to The Big Apple and I'm thoroughly looking forward to sharing them with whomever stumbles upon this… publicly private domain.
